The Grammy nominated band is a homestate favorite. Emerging from Seattle, Washington the quintet rose to prominence in the UK upon releasing their debut album, Everything All the Time. The album charted in the UK and other European countries earning gold in several territories, and eventually earning gold in the U.S. for their eventual breakthrough of their sleeper hit, “Funeral.” In 2007, the band made their breakthrough in the U.S. when they dropped their sophomore effort, Cease to Begin. Charting in the top 40 on the Billboard 200, the album spawned hits like “No Ones’ Gonna Love You” and “Is There a Ghost.” Releasing a total of six albums, Band of Horses has become one of the most highly regarded and influential folk rock bands in the circuit. In 2011, the band received their first Grammy nomination for their album Infinite Arms.
Singer-songwriter Samuel Ervin Beam a.k.a. Iron and Wine became a folk sensation in the early 2000s. His sophomore album Our Endless Numbered Days broke into the Billboard 200, eventually selling over 500,000 copies and earning gold status in the process. For his subsequent releases, Iron and Wine remained in the charts. His 2011 work, Kiss Each Other Clean became his most commercially successful effort, reaching number 2 on the Billboard charts and entering the charts in several other countries. Last year, Iron and Wine released his latest album, Light Verse.
